The Shelfield

Introducing The Shelfield ~ a beautifully considered oak vanity combining tactile reeded detailing with generous, uncompromised storage. Named after the small rural village of Shelfield in Warwickshire, its peaceful countryside setting and traditional village character make it a fitting namesake for a piece designed with natural materials and enduring craftsmanship at its heart.

The Shelfield features two generously proportioned drawers with vertically reeded oak fronts, framed with refined moulded detailing that brings depth and definition to the design. A traditionally shaped plinth gives the vanity the presence of a freestanding piece of furniture, while allowing the natural grain and warmth of the oak to remain the focus.

One of The Shelfield's most practical features is its fully functioning top drawer on every configuration ~ including when paired with an undermounted basin. Rather than sacrificing the upper drawer to accommodate the basin, the internal construction has been carefully designed around it, ensuring valuable storage space isn't lost. Both drawer boxes are made from solid oak using traditional dovetailed joints and fitted to premium concealed soft close runners.

Handcrafted from sustainably sourced oak, The Shelfield is available in a choice of oak finishes, allowing you to select anything from a lighter, more natural appearance to a richer, deeper tone. Each vanity is carefully finished in-house with protective exterior-grade lacquer, enhancing the character of the timber while creating a durable, splash-resistant finish suited to the bathroom environment.

As with all our vanity units, The Shelfield can be tailored to suit your bathroom with your choice of countertop, upstand, basin configuration and cabinet hardware, allowing the finished piece to feel entirely your own.

A little detail worth noting ~ our vanity units measuring 700mm wide or less will have one lovely central knob on each drawer, while those 750mm wide and above will have two knobs per drawer. It's a small detail, but one that helps keep everything beautifully balanced and in proportion.
