Stage One ~ Your Estimate
The best place to start is by sending us any plans, sketches or approximate dimensions you have, together with a little information about your project and what you hope to achieve.
From this, we’ll prepare an initial estimate covering the design, manufacture, finishing and installation of your cabinetry. Countertops, appliances, taps, wastes and splash backs are considered separately at this stage if applicable.
Stage Two ~ Come & Meet Us
If our estimate feels right, the next step is to get to know one another.
We’d love to welcome you to our Worcestershire Workshop & Showroom, where you can see our cabinetry first hand, explore finishes and materials and talk through your project with us.
Stage Three ~ The Design
This is where everything starts to come to life. We’ll take everything we’ve learned about your home, your taste and how you want the space to work and turn it into a detailed bespoke design. If you already have a clear vision, we’ll refine it with you; if you’re not quite sure where to begin, that’s absolutely fine too.
Our highly realistic visuals allow you to properly imagine the finished room, and we’ll work closely with to develop the design until it feels just right.
Once the design is complete, we can confirm the final project cost. Should you decide not to proceed with us after the design stage, our design fee of £1,500 + VAT per space will be invoiced to you.
Stage Four ~ Making It Official
Happy with your design? Wonderful.
We’ll issue an invoice confirming the agreed scope of works and project cost. A 20% non-refundable deposit is then payable by BACS, securing your production slot and agreed pricing through to your estimated installation date.
Stage Five ~ Bringing Everything Together
There’s plenty happening behind the scenes before we start making your cabinetry.
We’ll work with you and your trades to provide the technical information needed to prepare the room correctly, while helping you finalise the details that will bring the whole scheme together — from flooring and lighting to appliances, sinks, taps, hardware, countertops and splashbacks.
We hold trade accounts with many premium suppliers and can also provide pricing for these elements where appropriate.
Stage Six ~ The Site Survey
Around eight to ten weeks before installation, we’ll visit your home to carry out our detailed site survey and take final measurements.
It’s also an opportunity to walk through the design together one last time and discuss any final amendments before manufacture begins. Please allow around 90 ~ 120 minutes for this appointment.
At this stage, we need at least a screeded floor and plaster boarded walls and ceilings so that accurate measurements can be taken.
Stage Seven ~ Final Sign Off
Following the survey, we’ll make any necessary adjustments to the design and issue your final visuals for approval.
This is also when we need all the lovely details confirmed in writing ~ including paint colours, oak finishes, hardware, appliances, countertops, sinks, taps and internal cabinet arrangements (where applicable).
Once everything is signed off, a further 40% payment is due and your cabinetry is ready to enter our workshop
Stage Eight ~ Into the Workshop
Now the magic begins. Your cabinetry is handcrafted in our Worcestershire workshops, with the build typically taking around six weeks to eight weeks before moving into our purpose built spray facilities for finishing.
Painted cabinetry receives a carefully prepared, multi coat sprayed finish in your chosen colour ~ and you can choose virtually any shade from any UK paint manufacturer. Oak elements are individually finished, stained where required and protected with lacquer.
Once everything has passed our checks, your cabinetry is assembled and carefully wrapped ready for its journey to your home.
Stage Nine ~ Installation
We’ll agree your installation dates with you well in advance. The complete installation process typically up to four weeks, subject to the complexity of the project & pace of the other trades on site. This period includes the final finishing and snagging stages.
Your cabinetry is installed by our own experienced cabinetmakers ~ we don’t outsource our fitting. We think this matters: the people fitting your cabinetry understand exactly how it was designed and made.
Before we arrive, the room needs to be dry, decorated and ready for cabinetry, with flooring laid and protected, mains lighting available and other trades clear of the working area.
The remaining 40% balance is payable ten working days before installation begins.
Stage Ten ~ Countertops
We’ll help you choose the perfect countertop and splash back, if applicable, for your space from our carefully considered collection of materials and finishes, ensuring they complement both your cabinetry and the wider interior. We’ll also guide you through the choice of edge profiles, helping you select the detail that best suits the character and style of your home.
Once your selections are made, we take care of the entire process, providing a complete templating, fabrication and installation service for a beautifully considered and professionally finished result.
Stage Eleven ~ The Finishing Touches
We’re rather particular about the details.
Once installation is complete, we’ll inspect everything carefully and create a snagging list with you. Anything that needs our attention is noted and addressed so that the finished cabinetry is exactly as it should be.
Stage Twelve ~ Settling In
Our relationship doesn’t end when we leave.
Your cabinetry contains solid natural timber, and timber naturally responds to its new environment. During the first six to twelve months, you may notice a little movement as everything settles ~ timber does, after all, have a mind of its own.
If anything needs a small adjustment, simply get in touch. We’ll arrange to return and make the necessary tweaks as part of a complimentary 6 ~ 12 month review.
Then all that remains is to enjoy your new space!
