Description
Introducing The Laverton ~ a beautifully understated double basin vanity that combines the warmth of natural oak with elegant, finely reeded detailing. Named after the pretty village of Laverton, nestled in the countryside near Bredon Hill, it continues our tradition of celebrating the beautiful villages and landscapes surrounding our Worcestershire workshops.
With its peaceful rural setting, traditional cottages and surrounding patchwork of fields, Laverton has all the charm of a quintessential English village. Its understated character and connection to the countryside make it a particularly fitting namesake for a piece rooted in traditional craftsmanship and natural materials.
For those who love the character of our Fairford ~ Reeded vanity but prefer a slightly simpler silhouette, The Laverton offers a wonderfully elegant alternative. With the scalloped detailing around the legs removed, its clean lower frame and straight, beautifully proportioned legs create a quieter, more contemporary appearance, while retaining all the traditional charm of the original.
Designed as a generous double basin vanity, The Laverton features four beautifully proportioned drawers with finely reeded oak fronts and matching reeded side panels. The delicate vertical detailing adds wonderful texture and depth to the cabinetry, framed by traditional moulded edges that bring definition without overwhelming the natural beauty of the timber. With two generous banks of drawers, there's plenty of practical storage for shared bathrooms and larger principal suites.
Each drawer box is made from solid oak using traditional dovetailed joints and fitted to premium concealed soft close runners. The cabinetry is handcrafted from sustainably sourced oak, carefully selected for its natural grain and individual character, before being finished in-house with two protective coats of exterior grade lacquer. This creates a durable, splash resistant finish while allowing the warmth and beauty of the oak to remain at the heart of the design.
One of the loveliest practical details of The Laverton is that all four drawers remain fully functional, whether you choose countertop or undermounted basins. Thanks to the carefully considered height and positioning of the drawers, even the upper drawers can be retained with undermounted basins, so there's no need to sacrifice valuable storage space for your preferred basin style.
Available in our beautiful collection of oak finishes, from lighter, natural tones to richer, deeper stains, The Laverton can be tailored to complement your bathroom perfectly. Complete the design with your choice of countertop, upstand, basins and cabinet hardware, creating a piece that feels entirely your own.
Timeless, tactile and beautifully considered ~ The Laverton brings together the character of natural oak, delicate reeded detailing and clean, elegant proportions in a double vanity designed to be enjoyed for years to come.
As one of the newest additions to our collection, this vanity hasn't quite had its moment in front of the camera just yet! In the meantime, we've used carefully created computer generated images to give you a lovely feel for the design and its finer details. And as beautiful as these images are, we think you'll love the real piece even more!
