The Dumbleton

Introducing The Dumbleton ~ the double basin sister to our Shelfield vanity, created for larger bathrooms where generous storage and beautifully considered detailing are equally important. Named after the picturesque village of Dumbleton, just a short distance from our Worcestershire workshops, the design takes its name from a place with a wonderfully traditional character of its own.

Set beneath wooded Dumbleton Hill on the edge of the Cotswolds, Dumbleton is a historic former estate village whose story stretches back more than a thousand years and is recorded in the Domesday Book. Its traditional cottages, surrounding countryside and long association with the Dumbleton estate give the village an enduring English character ~ a fitting namesake for a piece rooted in natural materials and traditional craftsmanship. 

Designed around two basins, The Dumbleton features two generous banks of drawers with beautifully reeded oak fronts, framed with refined moulded detailing that adds depth and definition without overwhelming the natural character of the timber. A traditionally shaped plinth grounds the cabinetry and gives this substantial double vanity the presence of a freestanding piece of furniture.

One of The Dumbleton's most practical features is its fully functioning top drawers across every basin configuration ~ including when paired with undermounted basins. The internal construction has been carefully designed around the basin bowls and associated pipework, meaning you don't have to sacrifice those valuable upper drawers for the clean, elegant appearance of undermounted basins.

Each drawer box is made from solid oak using traditional dovetailed joints and fitted to premium concealed soft close runners. Handcrafted from sustainably sourced oak, The Dumbleton is available in a choice of oak finishes, from lighter natural tones through to richer, deeper stains. Each piece is carefully finished in-house with protective exterior-grade lacquer, enhancing the grain and individual character of the oak while creating a durable, splash-resistant finish suited to the bathroom environment.

As one of the newest additions to our collection, this vanity hasn't quite had its moment in front of the camera just yet!
